Outfit Ideas for your spring, summer and fall family photo shoot in Charleston.
While it’s important to be true to yourself and wear what you’re comfortable in, a photoshoot is also a time when you can wear something a bit bolder than you’d normally wear.
It’s a time when you can have fun putting together different textures, colors and patterns.
I’ve compiled a few links to some fun outfit outfit ideas and add ons to help you get started.
Sometimes you can just add to items you already have to incorporate some color and pattern.
You might have a beautiful flowy white dress and by adding a patterned or colorful cardigan, you can completely change the look, even if for just a few photos.
I love this colorful cardigan and how it could really jazz up a simple white dress.
A flowy, hanging off the shoulder shrug is also a fun look to incorporate with a dress or even jeans.
We are in the south and ruffles will always be allowed! They’re a fun way to add some texture to your outfit!
Some ruffle options:
And throwing in one more b/c I love the color and pattern and how this top alone can be your starting point for picking out the rest of your family outfits:
Colorful Striped Blouse to pair with jeans

Girls!
Floral is always a good idea for moms or girls and as a romper it’s always a yes in my book: girls floral romper
I also always love a Peter Pan collar and this Peter Pan Collar Dress comes in all the right colors to match anything else you pick!
I’m such a fan of girls wearing jumpers b/c they always look so cute in them.
This Girls Jumper with Stripes is the neutral chambray color BUT the stripes bring it up a notch for pattern and almost anything will match this.

For the dads and boys:
Most of the time dads end up in something neutral but it doesn’t have to be that way.
You can still do a basic linen button down, but pick a patterned fabric that goes well with your pallet and I think that’s a winner every time.
This mens button down brings the pattern but also in a simple color that’s not beige or white: Mens striped button down
Depending on the age of your child, this could also work for the boys.
I love this Subtle fun boys top
And then for the fellas, you can always do a colored pant or short to add any color you want to your pallet.

I hope you found something you like here or at least got some inspiration to help you jazz up some things you already have in your closet!
