My Favorites of Summer 2024
Recipe:
I haven’t shared a good recipe in a while so here are some things we loved this summer that are easy to throw together and a twist on the classics.
AVACADO BLT!- For this one, you swop out the mayo and use avacado instead. Everything else is pretty much the same except I also like to sprinkle in a little feta if I have some. …and make sure you toast the bread b/c it steps it up a notch!
Grilled Pimiento cheese!– Choose your favorite Pimiento(I like any with a kick), sprinkle with goat cheese and add a slice of tomato! SO Yummy.
Serve all with a side of your favorite pickles!
Summer Spaghetti:
This is a recipe I kind of made up that I have grown to love making and my kids love to devour it.
It’s fresh and light and super easy to whip up.
Ingredients:
-box of linguini noodles
-2 containers of cherry tomatoes(ruby reds are my fave to use)
-1 pack Italian seasoning
-1/4 stick of butter
-garlic powder
-red pepper flakes
Here’s whatcha do:
Boil noodles according to box.
Wash and blend all but a few tomatoes. (we drink a lot of smoothies and this is the blender we love).
Melt butter when noodles are almost finished boiling. Once melted, add 3 shakes of garlic powder and red pepper flakes +entire packet of Italian seasoning. Stir together and then add blended tomatoes.
Let that sit for just a few minutes and begin scooping noodles into sauce and stir together. I like to slice the remaining tomatoes on top and top with parmesan cheese.
Serve with garlic bread.

Useful Things:
I have used this Stanley cup so much this summer. I drink water all day long when I’m home and this is the perfect cup to keep it cold and I love the cool tennis ball green color:
This is my favorite everyday sunscreen! It smells so good and it’s super lightweight and easy to just mist over your arms/face and neck!
This is just a must after a long hot sweaty summer. Use about once a week before a shower.
My go-to summer shoes! They’re comfortable and a step up from flip flops and the slight arch is perfect for me.
Comes in a huge variety of colors.
